Bengaluru should be renamed as City of Cafes from City of Gardens and I say this because in my opinion this city must have outnumbered any other city in India in terms of number of cafes. The hub of the increasing number of cafes is Kormangla which is almost centrally located on the map of Bengaluru. Kormangla sizzles with youngsters, artists and all sorts of creative people. Thus the need of a place which stands out and provides a space to chill and spread out wings.
While strolling on 5th Block road of Kormangla, I spotted one such quaint cafe. It looked to be a newly opened one and its exteriors had colorful and refreshing vibes. Now, how can I leave this cafe alone and unexplored! I have to check this one out too 🙂
As soon as I entered the cafe, it gave a feel of immense positivity and tremendous energy probably because of vibrant colors of the seating area and the charming staff who were on their toes to serve the customers. I opted to look for a place for myself and walked upstairs to find a perfect place overlooking the street. But, how can I dare to think that I would find such a seating place in a bustling street of Kormangla that too on a Sunday evening. To little disappointment, I seated myself from where I could get some nice pictures and then was soon handed over the menu.
I requested the owner to order his favorites for me, I do this a lot of times so that I get to taste what owner thinks he serves best at the cafe. He gladly ordered his favorites from the menu, one beverage and one savoury dish for me. I gave a perfect glance to the menu and noticed they had a huge variety to pamper varied palates. A range of Indian, Continental and Italian is well taken care at the cafe. Till the time my food (Irish cold and Veg pasta) came on my table, I immersed in the colors of the cafe, be it posters on the walls, rustic colored lamps or vibrant couches and chairs.
It took sometime for staff to get the food, I would not blame the staff entirely as the cafe was jam-packed and had a waiting too. This clearly increased my expectation of the food all the more. After knowing that the cafe opened only in Jan 2016, there must be something that these guys are doing absolutely right, such huge crowd pull is definitely no magic.
And the food came on my table, it looked ravishing and so appealing that without a blink, I tasted my coffee and took a bite of pasta. Coffee can’t be more perfect, little strong, little sweet and a perfect flavour of Irish coffee. I loved the fact that the veg pasta actually came with a lot of veggies and garlic bread which is not a usual thing at other cafes. This meal was certainly a delight to my palate which also did not cost my pocket a lot.
All in all, a suitably located and soul enriching ambient cafe for youngsters and families to have a good time with tantalizing food and also comfortable on pocket. Next time, I am definitely taking my gang and spending a great bonding time there.
